Quality Assurance
SOAP's QA program entails proofing a random sampling of reports, every pay period, of every medical language specialist. To be able to remain a SOAP-trained medical language specialist, they must have greater than 99.5% accuracy. If the medical language specialist does not maintain SOAP-trained status, they are put on probation; counseled; and mentored closely for a period of time. SOAP's QA personnel are all SOAP-trained medical language specialists of at least two years, with an average of 5+ years of experience in medical transcription. The person in charge of our QA personnel and the program is a co-owner of SOAP Transcription Services with 25+ years of medical experience.
As part of our commitment to the industry, SOAP started an on-line transcription course, LearnTranscription.com. The course takes about 12-18 months to complete.
